Bill additional to an act to incorporate the Trustees of the Readfield Charitable Society, was read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Petition of Josiah Califf & als to be incorporated for the purpose of Manufacturing Iron & Steel or Cotton, was read & referred to the committee on applications for Manufacturing Companies - Sent up for concurrence.

Ordered that so much of the Governors Message as relates to the importance of a due attention of the proper officers to the various legal provisions for the suppression of intemperance "be referred to Messrs Pond of Bucksporrt, Williams of Swanville, Thompson of Industry, Cobb of Durham & Spaulding of Buckfield with such as the Senate may join - and that said Committee also enquire into the expediency of some further provision by law to promote the same object - read & passed - Sent up for concurrence.

The committee on the subject of States Printing reported a Resolve - report accepted.

Resolve relating to the States Printing was read & passed whereupon Mr Quinnam of Wiscasset moved a reconsideration of the last vote and the House assigned Friday next at 10 oclock to consider the motion -

On motion of Mr Adams of Portland Ordered, that the Messenger of this House be directed and required forthwith to apprehend & bring before this House William W Fuller Esq of Hallowell now resident in Portland and Charles Warren of said Portland, Student at Law for having made an assault upon each other in the presence of said House and white the same were engaged in transacting the public business thereof - read & passed.
