Resolve authorizing the Treasurer to borrow forty thousand dollars to be applied to the payment of the debt of the State - passed to be engrossed in the House - came up for concurrence - Read and committed to Messrs. Dennett and Tallman - and tomorrow at ten o'clock assigned for a second reading.

[Bills passed to be enacted] The Committee on Engrossed Bills reported the following bills to be truly engrossed, and they were severally passed to be enacted, to wit - Bill entitled - An Act to incorporate the Trustees of the Gardiner Lyceum - An Act making void the marriage of Samuel McLellan Jun'r. and Eliza his wife - An Act respecting the payment of monies into the State treasury - and relating to the duties of the treasurer of the state and of the treasurers of the several counties - An Act to alter the time of holding the Court of Sessions in the county of York - and An Act to establish the Buckfield Grammar School.

[Bill reported] Mr. O'Brien from the Committee to whom was referred the engrossed bill - in addition to an Act regulating elections - reported that the same ought to pass - and it was thereupon passed to be enacted.

[Report on petition] Mr. Poor from the Committee to whom was referred the petition of Zachariah Brackett and others - reported that the petitioners have leave to withdraw - Report read and accepted - Sent down for concurrence - came up concurred.
