The House resumed the consideration of the Bill, "in addition to the several acts now in force to organize, govern & discipline the Militia of this State - and after much discussion and adopting sundry amendments on motion, the Bill was referred to Messrs Chase of Livermore, Treat of Bangor, Sweat of Parsonsfield, Humphrey of Gray, Hodgman of Warren, White of Monmouth Allen of Norridgewock, Millikin of Lincolnville & Vance of No 6. -

Petition of Ovia Burrill Junr & als that Lubec may be made a half shire town, was read & referred to the committee on the incorporation of Towns. Sent up for concurrence.

Ordered that the petition of the Selectmen of Richmond referred from the last to the present Legislature now on the files of the Senate be requested from that branch. Sent up.

Mr Hall of Camden was excused from serving on the committee appointed on the 21st inst. on the law respecting Lime & Lime Casks &c and Mr Watts of St George was appointed in his stead.

Petition of John Sargent for relief from some part of his loss occasioned by his erection of Sullivan Bridge, referred in Senate to Messrs Campbell & Sheppard with such as the House may join came down for concurrence - and the House concurred and Messrs Newry of Lubec, Spearing of Clinton & Morrill of Wells were joined.

Adjourned until nine oclock tomorrow morning.
