Bill in addition to an act to incorporate the Casco Bank, was read a 3d time & ordered to lie on the table.

An order came fro the Senate for concurrence appointing Messrs Parsons Lincoln & Stebbins with such as the House may join a committee to consider what alteration are necessary in the laws relating to Probate business & the expediency of fixing Salaries to Registers of Probate in the several Counties, and of exempting of poor widows and orphans from the payment of probate fees, and for the regulating of Probate fees and the House concurred and Messrs Wingate of bath Fogg of Montville & Dunn of Poland were joined.

Bill additional to an act to incorporate the Cumberland Bank was read a 3d time, amended & ordered to lie on the table.

Petition of Hezekiah Winslow & als ob subject of the Militia Law, was read & referred to the special committee of this House on that subject.

The Committee on the Bill respecting the conveyance of heavy loads on wheels carriages &, reported a new draft and that the SecY of State publish the same in all the newspapers in this State & that the subject be referred to the next Legislature - read & accepted. Sent up for concurrence -
