176. Bill in addition to the several acts now in force to organize, govern and discipline the Militia of this State, came from the Senate with sunny amendments and referred the subject to Messrs Allen of Norridgewock, Shaw of Northport and Hathaway of Bluehill.

Resolve fixing the place for the meeting of the next Legislature at Wiscasset, came from the Senate passed to be engrossed for concurrence - The House amended the Resolve by striking out "Wiscasset" - The question was taken by yeas and nays and decided as follows 73 yeas 47 nays - The word "Portland" was then inserted and the question was taken by yeas and nays and decided as follows 64 yeas and 57 nays. The Resolve was then passed to be [inserted above]^engrossed as amended. Sent up for concurrence.
