Know Ye, That Cornelius Holland of Canton, in the County of Oxford, Esquire, on the thirteenth day of September, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and thirty; was chosen by the People of this State legally qualified therefor, a Representative to represent them in the twenty first Congress of the United States of America, to supply the vacancy occasioned by the resignation of the Hon. James W. Ripley, at the times and places and in the manner of holding elections, prescribed by our Legislature, agreeably to the powers therein vested by the Constitution of the United States.
In testimony whereof, I have caused the seal of this State to be hereunto affixed. Given under my hand at Portland, the twenty sixth day of October, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and thirty; and in the fifty fifth year of the Independence of the United States of America.
