104 [1822 Jan. 23] [Bills read and committed] The following bills were read a first time, and tomorrow at ten o’clock assigned for the second reading and committed to the Committee on Bills in the second reading. - to wit Bill to authorize the sale of Ministerial and School lots in Sangerville - Bill to authorize the sale of Ministerial and School lands in the town of Andover and the Bill to authorize the sale and Ministerial and School Lands in the town of Avon — ; also the Bill to incorporate the Kennebec Steam Navigation Company which was committed to Merrs Ripley & Morrill - and Bill to alter the title of the Maine Medical Society and for other purposes and the Bill respecting payment of monies into the State Treasury and County Treasurers - and the duties of State and county treasurers - which was committed to Messrs McDonald and O’Brien. -

[Resolve passed to be engrossed] Resolve authorizing Charles Greene to make sale of land of his ward - passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the House. Resolve making valid the doings of the Town of Hebron passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the House.

[Resolve in second reading] Resolve directing the promulgation and distribution of the laws being read a second time - an amendment was offered by W. Bradbury - to insert in the bill - instead of the “Eastern Argus” - any newspaper printed in Portland upon which amendment the question for adopting the same was taken by yeas and nays
