[Choice of M. General 6th Divis.] Agreeably to assignment the Senate at 12 o’clock proceeded to the choice of Major General of the Sixth Division of the Militia. The Whole number of Ballots amounted to eighteen - of which Brigadier General Alden Blossom had the whole - and he was declared elected on the part of the Senate, Major General of the sixth Division of the Militia. And the Secretary was directed to inform the House that the Senate had concurred with them in the choice of that officer.
[Message to House] Ordered that a message go to the House of Representatives requesting that the Resolve granting a pension to John Carlton 2d passed to be engrossed in the Senate and sent down - be sent up, together with the papers accompanying the same -
[Petition] The petition of Thomas R. White and Almira his wife praying that a deed of release and quitclaim of right title and interest may be delivered them by certain persons having right &c in and to certain lands & estates therein mentioned - committed in the House to the Committee on New Trials came up for concurrence - Read and committed to the same Committee in concurrence with the House.
[Petition] The petition of James Starr Junr praying additional allowance for services rendered as Brigade Major - committed in the House to the Committee on accounts - came up for concurrence - Read and non concurred - and ordered to lie on the table - [afterwards this vote is reconsidered - and the Senate concur.]
[Report on petition] The report of the Committee on the petition of Oliver Sewall granting leave to bring in a bill - accepted in the Senate came up from the House non concurred. Read and the Senate reconsider their former vote accepting the report - and concur with the order of the House that the petition be referred to the next Legislature.
