Met according to adjournment.

An order came from the Senate for concurrence instructing the Committee on State Lands to examine the books and accounts of the Land Agent and report thereon - & the House concurred.

Petition of the Trustees of China Academy praying the State to accept their surrender of the control of said Institution &c - was read and referred to Messrs Benson of China, Spearin of Clinton and Pray of Lebanon.

Ordered that Messrs Robinson of Gardiner, Stone of Jay & Burr of Litchfield be a committee to enquire into the expediency of granting to ordained Ministers of the Gospel the privilege of solemnizing marriages between parties throughout the State - read & passed.

The Committee appointed under order of 19th Jany to consider the expediency of passing an act making further provision respecting County Treasurers Accounts - reported a Bill - report accepted.

Bill additional to an act to direct the time & manner of exhibiting the accounts of County Treasurers & the estimates for County taxes - was read 1 & 2d time & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3d Reading.

Bill in addition to an act entitled an act respecting Pounds & impounding Beasts going at Large or damage feasant (reported by Committee of 10 Jany on subject) was read 1st & 2nd time & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3d reading.

Bill additional act respecting the admission of Attornies, (reported by the committee on their subject) was read 1st & 2d time & Friday at 10 oclock assigned for a 3d reading.
