came from the Senate referred to the committee on the incorporation of towns for concurrence – and the House concurred

Report of the committee instructed to consider the expediency of exempting the Militia of this State from a poll tax, that it is inexpedient to legislate upon that subject, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence – and the House concurred.

Petition of David Dunlap & als Directors of Union Bank for a confirmation of their doings and a change of the name of their corporation, came from the Senate referred to the committee on the Judiciary for concurrence – and the House concurred.

Bill to authorize the Selectmen of Gardiner to appoint an additional number of Engine Men, was read a 1st & 2d time and Monday next at 10 o’clock assigned for a 3d reading.

Bill to incorporate the Penobscot Manufacturing & exporting company, taken from the last years files, of the Senate, came from the Senate referred to the committee on manufactures for concurrence – and the House concurred.

Report on the petition of John Sargent granting leave for a Bill, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence and the House concurred.

Bill – authorizing a Lottery for the benefit of a bridge at Sullivan Ferry, was read a 1st & 2d time & tuesday at 10 o clock assigned for a 3d reading.
