The House resumed the order of the day on the motion of Mr Bourne for a reconsideration of the vote of the 7th inst. accepting the report on the petition of Nahum Smith & als and after further discussion, the House refused to reconsider said vote. The question was taken by yeas & nays and decided as follows: [see appendix page 288.] yeas 58. nays 65.
An order came from the Senate for concurrence appointing Messrs Williams & Scammon with such as the House may join a committee to inquire what measures ought to be adopted, additional to the Resolve apportioning the Representatives on the several counties, towns, plantations & classes, with leave to report &c – and the House concurred & Messrs Pease of Cornish, Myrick of Hebron and Reed of Lewiston were joined

and on the order of 27th inst on subject of apportionment of Representatives on the several counties, towns & classes, came from the Senate referred to the above last mentioned committee for concurrence & the House concurred.
