Tuesday, Jan. 17. 1826. An motion by Mr. Williams, the Senate reconsidered their vote by which they referred the petition of Elijah Morse to the Joint Standing Committee on the Judiciary, and referred it to the Joint Standing Committee in incorporation of towers. Sent down for concurrence. Friday Feb. 10th 1826. Petition of John Neptune and Peale Marly [?] agents of the Penobscot tribe of Indians for liberty to lease their water privileges was read and committed to messrs Scamman, Southwick and Butman. Mr. Dunlap from the Committee on Literature and Literary Institutions on an order on the subject, reported "Bill additional to an act to incorporate the additional to an act to incorporate the North Yarmouth Academy, which was read a first time, and having been ordered to a second reading, was again read and passed to be engrossed, Sent down for concurrence. Mr. Southwick from the Committee on Manufactures on the petition of George Cox and others, reported that the Petitioners have leave to bring in a Bill. Read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence.
