Report on the petition of John Dole & others, was taken from the files of the Senate and referred to the next Legislature and sent down for concurrence – and the House concurred.

The Conferees on the part of the House on the Bill imposing a duty on Sales at Auction, reported that the House adhere to their vote by which they indefinitely postponed said Bill – and the report was accepted.

Resolve in favor of Elias Thomas, laid on the table by Mr Fessenden of Portland, was read and indefinitely postponed.

Bill – authorizing a Lottery for the benefit of the Thomaston Coal & Mineral Company, was amended in several of its provisions and then on motion postponed indefinitely Sent up for concurrence.

The Committee of Conference on the part of the House on the Bill granting a Lottery for the benefit of Primary Schools in this State, reported that the House adhere to the vote by which they indefinitely postponed the same – and the House accepted the report.

The committee on engrossed bills reported as duly engrossed, Bill – authorizing a Canal for the improvement of the Navigation of Mousam river – which was passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill – to apportion and assess on this State a tax forty nine thousand, nine hundred and fifty nine dollars and ninety three cents, came from the Senate amended for concurrence – and the House passed the same to be engrossed in concurrence.
