Evening. Met according to adjournment.

The committee on engrossed bills reported as duly engrossed,

Resolve – additional to a Resolve apportioning the Representatives on the several Counties, towns, plantations & classes &c &c

-in favor of Amos H Hodgman

which were severally finally passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Mr Warren of Jackson from the joint committee on the part of the House to wait on the Governor and inform him the Legislature have passed upon all the public business before them and to inquire of him, if he have any further communication to make &c – reported that the Governor was pleased to reply that he would forthwith make a communication to the House by the Secretary, and that he reciprocated to each member of the House the kind feelings which they had expressed toward him.

Message from the Governor

Mr Nichols, the Secretary of the State, came in with the following message from the Governor, and having delivered the same, and laid upon the Speakers table a list of the titles of the laws & resolves passed the present session & approved by the Governor, retired – to wit

Mr Speaker,

I am directed by the Governor to inform the two Houses of the Legislature respectively that he has signed One hundred and two Acts and sixty nine Resolves, being all that have been presented to him for signature the present session [see titles, page 251]
