Mr. Whitney from the Committee on the Petition of the Selectmen of Chesterville, reported that they have leave to bring in a Bill. Read, accepted and sent down for concurrence. Came up concurred.

Mr. Whitney from the committee on the Petition of Samuel Hadlock, reported that he heave leave to bring in a Bill. Read, accepted and sent down for concurrence. Came up concurred.

Mr. Whitney from the same Committee on the Petition of the Selectmen of New Portland, reported that the Petitioners cause in attested copy of their petition with this order thereon to be published in the Somerset Journal printed at Norridgewock three weeks successively, the last publication to be thirty days at least, before the first Wednesday of the first session of the next Legislature. Read, accepted and sent down for concurrence. Came up concurred.

Mr. Usher from the Committee on the Petition of Samuel Sweetland and others, reported that they have leave to withdraw their Petition. Read, accepted and sent down for concurrence. Came up concurred

Order of the House that the Committee on the Militia &c be instructed to enquire into the expediency of prohibiting by law the custom of treating on days of election &c, came up for concurrence, was read and concurred.
