223 [1823 February 3] House reconsider their vote, by which they referred this report to the next Legislature, and concur with the Senate in accepting the report; and Messrs Bond and Usher were appointed on the part of the Senate a Committee to address the Governor upon the subject of the removal of James M. Rogers, and to notify him the said Rogers: sent down to be joined: came up and Messrs Dunlap, Moor and Pike were joined.

[Bill to encourage Literature] Bill to encourage literature, which in the House had been indefinitely postposed, came up for concurrence, and was read and concurred.

[Bill to authorize Kennebunk to keep a Bridge] Bill to authorize the town of Kennebunk to keep and maintain a Bridge over Mousum River, and

[Resolve in favor of Benj. J. Porter] Resolve in favor of Benjamin J. Porter, were severally read once and committed, and tomorrow at ten oclock assigned for a second reading.

[Bill to incorporate the Trustees of a Fund in Kennebunk Port] Bill to incorporate the Trustees of the Congregational fund in Kennebunk Port was read a second time and committed to Messrs McDonald, Dennett and Usher.

The Senate then adjourned to nine oclock tomorrow morning.
