[Addition to Com: for Districting State for Reps. to Congress]

An order came up from the House informing the Senate that Messrs Prime of Berwick Clap of Portland - McCobb of Phipsburg - Smith of Fayette Prentiss of Paris - Knapp of Kingfield Richardson of Mount Desert - Ruggles of Carmel and Cram of Plantation No 9 - had been added on the part of the House to the Committee who have under consideration the subject of districting the State for the choice of Representatives to Congress and the following persons were added on the part of the Senate viz - Messrs OBrien - Case and Higgins -

[Message to the Governor]

Mr McDonald was charged with a message to the Governor informing him that Elias Stowell Esquire - had been duly qualified to act as Counsellor the present year - by taking and subscribing the oaths required by the Constitution

[Bill providing for doing justice when executions are levied through mistake]

Mr Bond from the Committee on Bills in the second reading - reported on the Bill entitled an "Act providing a method for doing justice when through mistake executions are levied upon real estate not belonging to debtors" - that the Senate recede from their amendment by which they struck out the "title of the Bill" - and insist on their amendment by which the whole of the second section was stricken out - Read, passed and sent down for concurrence -

The report of the Adjutant General was read - accepted and committed to the Joint Committee on so much of the Governors message as relates to the militia - sent down for concurrence -
