upon that subject reported a Bill additional to the several Acts directing the method of laying out, and making provision for the repair and amendment of highway, which was read once and committed, and tomorrow at 9 oclock assigned for a 2d reading.-

The Senate reconsider their vote by which they passed to be enacted, the Bill to incorporate the town of Maxfield, adopt an amendment, and now pass the Bill to be enacted.-

[Messages]

A message was then sent to the House informing them of the amendment of said Bill, and requesting their concurrence.- and A message was then received from the House informing that they had voted to concur the Senate in the amendment of the Bill aforesaid.-

Mr. Wheeler from the committee on the petition of John Hobert and als. reported a Bill directing the proceedings against forcible entry and detainer, which was read once and committed, and tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 2d reading.-

[Resolve]

Resolve on the petition of Elizabeth Caper was read twice and passed to be engrossed: sent down for concurrence: concurred Feb. 3d.-
