Mr. Small from the Committee on petition of Paul Woodman and als. reported that the same be referred to the next Legislature: Read, accepted and sent down for concurrence.-
[Committee on notice of sales of deceased persons estates]
Order of the House that the Committee on New Trials be instructed to enquire into the expediency of providing a uniform mode of giving notice of settlements and sales of estates of deceased persons, as decreed by Judges of Probate within this State; with leave to report by Bill or otherwise; came up for concurrence, and was read and concurred.-
[Bill]
Mr. Dunlap from the committee on an order upon that subject, reported a Bill regulation the punishment of crimes; which was read once and committed, and Monday next at 10 oclock assigned for a 2d reading : and on motion of Mr. McCobb, Ordered that 200 copies thereof be printed for the use of the Legislature.-
[Resolve]
Resolve authorizing a road, was read, and the Senate nonconcur the House in their amendment, and adhere to their former vote by which they passed the same to be engrossed.-
