Bill to incorporate the Portland Rifle Corps, was read a 2d time and refused passage.

[Report on Petition]

Mr. Usher from the committee on petition of Jacob Scholfield and als. reported that they have leave to withdraw their petition : Read and accepted with an amendment by referring the same to the next Legislature : sent down for concurrence.-

[Bill enacted]

Mr. Witham from the committee on engrossed Bills reported the following to be truly copied, viz. Bill respecting elections of Representatives in classed Districts, Bill explanatory of an act to organize, govern & discipline the Militia Bill additional to an act for the due observance of the Lord's day: and they were passed to be enacted: also
