[Report]
Mr. Dennett from the committee on sundry petitions and remonstrances relative to the division of the County of Lincoln, reported that they severally have leave to withdraw their petitions ; Read, accepted and sent down for concurrence : concurred.
[Resolve]
Resolve for laying a County tax on the several Counties, passed to be engrossed in the House, came up for concurrence, and was read twice and passed to be engrossed with an amendment : sent down for concurrence.-
[Bills]
Bill to promote the sale and settlement of public lands, came up with amendments in a new draft: read, and referred to Messrs Wheeler, Dennett & Campbelll.-
Bill respecting the salary of the Secretary of State, passed to be engrossed in the House, came up for concurrence, was read once and committed, and tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 2d reading.-
[Resolve]
The Senate reconsider their vote by which they passed to be engrossed the Resolve accepting the Deed of a Committee of Augusta to the State; and concur with the house in their amendment, and in referring the same to the next Legislature.-
[Reports on Petitions]
Mr. Dennett from the committee on petition of the town of Lewiston, reported that they have leave to bring in a Bill : Read, and the further consideration of the subject referred to the next Legislature : sent down for concurrence.-
