Message from the Governor. "To the Senate and the House of Representatives,

    I communicate for your consideration copies of papers, exhibiting the proceedings, relative to the public lands, during the past year, by the Commissioners appointed under the a Act for the separation of Maine from Massachusetts.

Portland January 20th 1827. Enoch Lincoln." The foregoing message, with the accompanying Documents were referred in concurrence with the Senate to the Committee on State Lands.

The committee on engrossed bills reported as duly engrossed, Bill. to incorporate the Trustees of the Maine Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church - - to alter the times of holding the Court of Sessions in the County of Cumberland which were severally passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence.

Resolve in favor of Houlton Plantation, was read a second time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Resolve for correcting the valuation of Steuben, was read a second time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill to incorporate the Kennebunk Port Distillery - was read a third time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill for the preservation of the Beeches & Salt Marshes in the town of Wells - was read a third time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.
