Resolve in favor of Oliver Perkins, came from the Senate, that body refusing to concur the House in their proposed amendment at A _ [?] and the House voted to adhere[underlined] to their amendment.

Ordered that the committee on the Judiciary be instructed to report a Bill to prevent the sale of tickets in Lotteries authorized by thy State, unless by venders who are duly licensed therefor by the Treasurer of the State, & who shall be under bond to make an annual return, of the amount of tickets sold by them, and the Lotteries in which such tickets are, & who shall also be required to make oath that they have sold no other tickets or parts of tickets than in Lotteries authorized by this State - read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Lewis Stacy & als to be incorporated by the name of the Handel Musical Society in Fayette, was read & referred to Messrs Morrill of New Sharon, Butterfield of Sidney & Currier of Windsor

Ordered that the committee on Finance be instructed to assess to the town of Richmond, five thirteenths of the polls & estates & to the town of Bowdoinham, eight thirteenths of the polls and estate in the State valuation, of the polls & estate heretofore assessed to the town of Bowdoinham, in conformity to the act incorporating said town of Richmond - read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.
