Report of the committee on the returns of the several Registers of Probate, that the same be filed & kept in the office of the Secretary of State, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence and the House concurred.
The Conferees on the part of the House having met the Conferees on the part of the Senate, in relation to the disagreement between the two branches of the Legislature upon the subject of the Resolve establishing the seat of Government, reported that they have had a free conference with them upon that subject & upon the grounds of disagreement & have not been able to come to any agreement with them- & therefore recommended that the House take no further order upon the subject- and the House accepted the report.
Bill regulating the sale of Lottery tickets, and drawing of Lotteries, authorized by this State, was further amended & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.
Remonstrance of the Directors of the Belfast upper Bridge company, was read & referred to the next Legislature - Sent up for concurrence.
The House reconsidered their vote refusing passage to the Bill entitled an act additional to an act to regulate the inspection of Beef & Pork intended to be exported from this State - and the House assigned Monday next for a 3rd reading of the Bill
Resolve in favor of Tomah Loui, came from the Senate that body having accepted the report of the conferees on their part recommending a reference to the next Legislature and notice to be given the Indian Agent. The House so far reconsider their former votes as to concur the Senate agreeably to the recommendation of the Conferees on the part of the House.
Bill to incorporate the Proprietors of the Great Meadow Dam in Topsham, was read a 1st & 2nd time & Monday next at 11 o clock assigned for a 3rd reading
