The House dispensed with rule 47 for the government of its proceeding so far as to allow petitions of a private nature to be presented & received until Thursday next inclusive.

Bill - to incorporate the South Parish in the town of Bridgeton was called up and on motion of Mr Ingalls of Bridgton, referred to the next Legislature. Sent up for concurrence.

An order came from the Senate for concurrence, directing the Committee on the Judiciary to inquire into the expediency of altering or amending an act regulating the selection, empannelling and service of Jurors, with leave &c - and the House concurred.

Petition of Stockholders of Waterville Bank for a reduction of their capital stock, was read & referred to the committee on Banks & Banking. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Charles Green & als, inhabitants of Somerset County in relation to a road from Athens to Moosehead Lake & thence to the Canada Road so called - was read & referred to the committee on State Lands. Sent up for concurrence

Report on the petition of William Cornforth, granting leave to withdraw, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence & the House concurred.

Petition of Daniel W Green & al, Selectmen of Gray, referred 23d inst. in this House to the committee on the Judiciary, came from the Senate referred to the committee on the incorporation of towns for concurrence - and the House receded from their former reference and concurred with the Senate.
