4 [left margin] Returns of votes for Governor [main body] The Secretary of State came in and laid on the table the returns of votes for Governor given in the several towns and plantations of this State and the same were committed to Messrs Williams, Emery + Miller with such as the House may join. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred and Messrs Clark Neal and Sumner + Mitchell were joined.
[left margin] Committee to draft Rules + Orders [main body] Ordered that Messrs Kavanaugh, Sweat and Weston be a committee to draft Rules and Orders for the gov ernment of the Senate the current political year.
[left margin] Mode of draw ing seats [main body] On motion by Mr Williams Ordered that the Sec retary prepare Nineteen tickets with numbers corres ponding with the respective seats at the Senate Board, omitting number nine, and permit each member to draw one of said tickets and the number borne on the tickets thus drawn shall designate the seats which the Members shall occupy during the Session.

[left margin] Time to which the Senate shall adjourn [main body] On motion by Mr Williams Ordered that the times to which the Senate will adjourn daily be half past nine oclock in the morning and half past three oclock in the afternoon, except on Saturdays when the adjournment shall be to the following Monday at eleven oclock in the forenoon, a message was sent to the House informing them thereof.
