Wednesday January 19th 1825 Met according to adjournment.

The Committee on the subject of providing for the making of roads on the ice at the several ferryways &c - reported a Bill - report accepted.

Bill - an additional act for regulating ferries - was read 1st & 2nd time & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3d reading.

Message from the Governor.

A special Message was received from the Governor dated Jany 18 1825 [see appendix page 224] on the subject of appropriating money for the purchase of field Ordnance & for Artillery - and the same referred in Senate to the committee on Militia and Military affairs came down for concurrence - and the House concurred.

The committee on the petition of Jonathan D Weston & als, reported leave to withdraw - report accepted.

The Committee on engrossed Bills reported as duly engrossed, Bills - to incorporate the town of Charlotte - - to incorporate the town of Baring - - to incorporate the town of Alexander - which were severally passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Central Lodge to be incorporated, was read and referred to the committee on the incorporation of Parishes &c. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill to incorporate the Gardiner Iron Manufacturing Company - was read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate
