An order came from the Senate for concurrence appointing Messrs Stebbins & Holland with such as the House may join a Committee to consider what legal provision ought to be made respecting actions for the recovery of real estate, & to prevent the buying & selling of dormant titles, with leave &c - and the House concurred & Messrs Benson of China, Eastman of Palermo & Francis of Leeds were joined
Resolve in favor of Foxcroft Academy, was read 1st & 2d time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.
Ordered that the Committee on Finance be instructed omit in the next tax act the polls of minors under the age of twenty one years - read & passed -
Bills to prevent the buying & selling of dormant titles - - additional act relating to real actions - were taken from the files & referred to the committee first above appointed Sent up for concurrence.
Report on the subject of the location of the Courts in York County, was taken up - and the amendment proposed thereto by the Senate rejected - The yeas & nays were taken as follows - Yeas 40 Nays 91. - The report was then accepted in its original form. - Sent up for concurrence.
Bill to incorporate the Saco Iron Works Company, was read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed as amended. Sent up for concurrence.
