Report on the petition of Richard H. Bartlett + others

of Selectmen of Eden + M Desert

granting leave to withdraw came from the Senate accepted for concurrence - and the House concurred.

Mr Lord of Kennebunkport has leave of absence after today. + Mr Holt of Norway after tomorrow during the remainder of the session.

Report on the petition of the Inhabitants of the town of Hollis, ordering notice, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence - and the House concurred.

Bill to incorporate Dearborn Academy, was read a third time + passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

The committee to whom were referred the three Bills before the Legislature on the subject of Highways with a view of incorporating the same into one Bill, reported a Bill entitled An Act additional to the several acts respecting Highways which was read a third time + passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Ordered that the committee on Finance be directed to set to the town of Bremen in the State tax the sum of One hundred thirty seven dollars - the same to be deducted from the town of Bristol - read + passed.

Bill providing for the appointment of a Board of Officers, + for other purposes appertaining to the militia, was taken up and amended in the title, read a third time + passed.
