Bill - to change the name of the town of Adams

- to set off part of the town of Alfred & annex the same to the town of Sanford -
- to incorporate the Mutual Fire Insurance Company of Wiscasset
- to incorporate the Thomaston Mutual Fire Insurance Company
- providing for the promotion of Education -
- regulating within this State, the Agencies of Insurance Companies established or incorporated without the same
- to incorporate the town of Wellington -
- to incorporate the Proprietors of Piscataquis Canal -
- to annex a part of Palmyra to Pittsfield -
- to set off part of the town of Foxcroft and annex the same to township numbered seven in the eighth range
- to increase the toll of Ferry Point Bridge -

reported by the committee on engrossed Bills as duly engrossed were severally passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence.

The same committee reported as duly engrossed, Resolve in favor of John G Deane which was finally passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Mr Hutchinson of Hebron has leave of absence after today & Mr Higgins of Eden after Saturday next.

Bill - to change the names of certain persons, accepted by the committee on change of names, was read 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at ten oclock assigned for a 3d reading.

Bill - additional to secure to owners their property in Logs, Masts Spars and other timber in the Schoodic & St Croix Rivers, was read 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at ten oclock assigned for a third reading.
