Met according to adjournment.

Bill additional to an act entitled an act to regulate the Manufacture & inspection of Stone lime & lime casks, came from the Senate with amendments for concurrence - and the House concurred & further amended the bill by adding a 4th Section. Sent up for concurrence

Message from the Governor.

A message from the Governor dated 17th Feby inst, was received [see appendix page ] on the subject of the resignation of General Alden Blossom of 6th Division - & was read & sent up.

[Maj. Gen. 6 Division also of - 8th Divis. to be chosen tomoro]

The House thereupon assigned tomorrow at 11 oclock to fill the vacancy of Major General in the 6th Division - and also assigned the same time to come to the choice of a Major General for the new 8th Division.

Bill in addition to an Act to provide for the education of Youth, was read a 1st & 2nd time, amended & referred to Messrs Williams of Augusta, Boutelle of Waterville & Goodenow of Alfred.

Bill to incorporate the Maine Iron Company, was read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed as amended. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill establishing a Municipal Court in the town of Portland was read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed as taken into a new draft in this House. Sent up for concurrence.

A message was received from the Senate informing this House that they had assigned tomorrow at 10 oclock to come to the choice of a Major General for the 6th Division and also for the 8th Division.
