On motion of Mr Emerson of Harrison,
Ordered that Messrs Emerson of Harrison, Frost of Bethel & Allen of Hope with such as the Senate may join be a committee to inquire as to the expediency of altering the law respecting licenses to tavern keepers and retailers. Read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.
On motion of Mr Smith of Nobleboro'
Ordered, that the committee on the Judiciary, be directed to inquire into the expediency of fixing by law the fees on compensation of Executors, Administrators, Guardians, Commissioners of Insolvency & of partition of Dower and witnesses attending Courts of Probate also of regulating the power of Judges of Probate to make allowance to widows out of the Estate of persons dying insolvent - read and passed - Sent up for concurrence.

Ordered that a committee be appointed to inquire if any alteration be necessary to the act entitled an act to restrain unincorporated Banking Associations & for other purposes passed March the thirteenth 1821 with leave ect - read & passed.
