An order came from the Senate for concurrence, instructing the committee on the Judiciary to enquire into the expediency of increasing the salaries of the several Judges of Probate in this State – and the House concurred.

An order came from the Senate for concurrence instructing the committee on State Lands to enquire into the expediency, of adopting the most effectual, practical, & speedy measures, for disposing of the timber, recently injured by fire on the undivided public land. and the House concurred.

Report on the petition of Thomas Merrill & als, granting leave to withdraw, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence – and the House concurred.

Mr Adams of Portland moved a reconsideration of the last vote and the House assigned Monday next at 12 oclock to consider the motion.
