Ordered that the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of altering or amending “an act to establish a Court of Common Pleas” passed Feby 4th 1822. read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Ordered that the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of amending an Act entitled “an act to exempt from taxation Manufacturing companies of Cotton, Wool, Iron & Steel for limited times” read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill to incorporate the Penobscot Lodge, was read a third time & passed to be engrossed as amended on sheet annexed. Sent up for concurrence.

The Committee on the petition of the Selectmen of Greenwood reported the following Order, & the report was accepted.

Ordered that the Committee on Finance be directed to deduct from the State Valuation set to the town of Greenwood in the County of Oxford the sum of five thousand seventy five dollars being the amount of the Valuation on property in said town belonging to Phillips Academy, State of Massachusetts and which property by a law of this State is not liable to taxation – read & passed.

Bill to incorporate the Dennysville Tide Mill Company, was read a third time and passed to be engrossed as amended
