Andrew Witham and Obadiah Hill were then by the President of the Convention declared duly elected Senators - The convention separated.

In Senate. [Com to inform the Governor of his election] On motion by Mr Cushman, ordered that Messrs Cushman Emerson and Page with such as the House may join be a Committee to wait on the Hon. Enoch Lincoln and inform him that he has been elected by the people Governor of the State of Maine for the current political year and that the two houses of the Legislature are ready to convene in the chamber of Representatives that in their presence he may take and subscribe the oaths of office required by the constitution and to receive any communication he may be pleased to make to them. The House concurred and Messrs Holmes of Alfred, Adams of Portland and Ruggles of Thomaston, Fiske of Fayette and Stevens of Bluehill were joined.

[Order directing the Secy of State to notify the Senators elect] Order by Mr Holbrook - ordered that the Secretary of State notify Andrew Witham of Bluehill in the District of Hancock and Obadiah Hill of West Machias in the District of Washington that they have this day severally been elected Senators by a convention of the two Houses of the Legislature and request their attendance at the Senate Board - sent down for concurrence - concurred -
