Met according to adjournment.

Bill to incorporate the Litchfield Manufacturing Company was read a 1st & 2nd time & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3d reading.

Report on the petition of Daniel Sewall & als granting leave for a Bill, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence, and the House concurred.

Report of the committee to inquire into the expediency of exempting pews from attachment &c, that such exemption if proper, should be provided for in a bill now before the Legislature on the subject of exempting certain property from attachment &c – came from the Senate accepted for concurrence & the House concurred.

Resolve respecting a Gaol in Eastport, came from the Senate that Branch adhering to their vote of 9th inst referring the same to the next Legislature – The House reconsider their former votes and concur the Senate in their reference of the subject.

Ordered that the committee on Finance be instructed to inquire into the expediency of authorizing the Court of Sessions for the County of Oxford, to relinquish to Alanson Mellen register of Deeds for said County, any part or the whole of the duty arising from the Registry of Deeds in his office, if said Court shall consider such a measure to be just and expedient, & that they be directed to report by resolve or otherwise – read and passed.
