Wednesday February 22nd 1826.

Met according to adjournment.

Bill – additional act regulating the Herring Fishery, came from the Senate referred to the next Legislature and ordered to be published in the several newspapers which publish the laws of the State, three weeks successively, the last publication to be ninety days previous to the first Wednesday of January next, for concurrence & the House concurred.

The Bill – in addition to the act relative to the appointment, of Engine Men passed March 16th 1821 – laid upon the table by Mr Alden, having first obtained the leave of the House for that purpose, was read a 1st & 2nd time & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a third reading.

Bill authorizing a Canal in Cape Elizabeth, was read a third time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

The committee on the Judiciary, reported the following Bill & the report was accepted,

Bill – to provide for the safe keeping of Justices Records, was read a 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a third reading

Bill – to incorporate the Litchfield Manufacturing Company was read a third time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Bill – additional to the Act to alter the law establishing Bowdoin College, was read a third time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.
