An order came from the Senate for concurrence instructing the committee on the subject of Lotteries to consider the expediency of granting a Lottery for the purpose of improving the navigation of the Saco & Mousom river &c – and the House concurred.

An order came from the Senate for concurrence instructing the committee on the subject of Lotteries to inquire into the expediency of granting a Lottery for the purpose of clearing the obstructions in the Androscoggin river &c - & the House concurred.

Report on the petition of the Bank of Portland, granting leave to withdraw, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence – and the House concurred.

The House reconsidered their vote of yesterday whereby they referred to the next Legislature the Bill to incorporate the President, Directors & Company of the York County Bank, and the Bill was assigned for a 3d reading at 10 oclock tomorrow.

The House reconsidered their vote of yesterday whereby they referred to the next Legislature the Bill – establishing the County of Waldo – The House then reconsidered their former vote passing the Bill to be engrossed so as to take up the proposed amendments of the Senate – and the question was taken by Yeas & Nays as follows [see appendix page 325.] Yeas 48. Nays 47.

Ordered, that the committee of this House, to whom was referred the Resolve relating to Clerk hire, be instructed to inquire what amount, if any is due for clerk hire in the office of the Treasurer of State, for the year 1825 – read & passed.

Bill – establishing the County of Waldo, was further considered, and amended and then on motion referred to the next Legislature.
