As nothing adds more to the Splendor and appearance of the Troops, than exact Uniformity and Dress, the General Recommends it thus early to the Field Officers newly Arranged to fix Upon a fashion for the Regimental Cloathing [Clothing] of the Officers of their Respective Corps, (if not done already) Confining them to the Grand F[?] Linings & Buttons, already assigned to the States to which they belong, The General Sees with Concern the Difficulty the Officers Labour [Labor] Under in procuring Cloaths [Clothes], It is not therefore his Wish, that those already furnished should run themselves, to the Expense of new Uniforms, if they are not already Conformable
