[Petitions referred] Petition of Monroe to have a piece of land annexed to said town, committed in the House to the committee on towns, came up for concurrence, and was read and concurred.-

Petition of Salmon Gates and als. to have Bridge erected to connect Calais with St. Stephens, committed in the House to the Committee on Turnpikes &c. came up for concurrence, and was concurred.

[Remonstrance] Remonstrance of Thomas Wentworth and als. against the petition of the Inhabitants of Sebanon, committed in the House to the Committee on Parishes &c came up for concurrence, and was concurred.-

[Bills] Bill to annex a part of Buxton to Standish, came up with amendments: and the Senate adopt a further amendment and now pass the Bill to be engrossed as amended : sent down for concurrence.-

Bill additional to the act for the inspection of Lumber &c. was read once and committed.-

Bill additional directing the method of laying out and making provision for the repair and amendment of highways, was read a 2d time and passed to be engrossed : sent down for concurrence. - concurred Feby 7th.-

Bill additional to an act to prohibit certain officers of courts from buying promisory notes and other demands for the purpose of making a gain or profit in the collection thereof, was read once and committed, and tomorrow 10 oclock assigned for a 2d reading.-
