Resolve for purchasing Greenleafs Reports, reported by the joint Standing committee on the Judiciary, was read once and tomorrow at ten o'clock assigned for a second reading.

Resolve in favor of Oliver Perkins, was read once & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a second reading.

Reports on the petitions of William Quint & al - Joshua Young & al - - John Drew granting orders of notice, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence - and the House concurred.

Ordered that the committee on Lotteries be instructed to inquire into the expediency of granting a Lottery for the purpose of raising - dollars for the support of primary schools to be distributed between the towns & plantations in the State in proportion to the last State tax assessed upon the several towns & plantations previous to the distribution of the same - read and passed. Sent up for concurrence

The committee on Banks & Banking made a report in relation to the Vassalboro Bank, directing the Secretary of State to notify the offices thereof to appear before the Legislature if they see fit or a Committee thereof on Wednesday the 24th isnt at 2 oclock PM to shew [show] cause if any they have, why the Charter of said Bank should not be declared vacated - and the report was accepted in concurrence with the Senate.

The committee on engrossed bills reported as duly engrossed Bill, to incorporate the Cherryfield Log Driving Company, which was passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence
