" of William Homer, for a repeal of that part of the Law relating to Primary Schools, which authorizes the School Committee to remove Instructors, were severally read and referred to the Joint standing Committee on the judiciary, in concurrence. " of D. Marshall & others, for a change of the name of the Vassalborough Bank, was read and referred to the Joint standing Committee on Banks and Banking, in concurrence. [Remonstrances referred] Remonstrances of Thomas Smith & others, against the Petition of William Larrabee. " of Enos Greely & others, against the Petition of Joseph Hacker. " of Roland Holden & others, against the Petition of William Maxfield Jr. and others, were severally read and referred to the Joint standing Committee on the Incorporation of Towns, in concurrence.
[Mr. Littles' acceptance as Councillor.] A written communication from Otis Little, Councillor elect, signifying his acceptance of that office, and that he was ready to take and subscribe the oaths necessary to qualify him to discharge the duties thereof, was read and Sent down.
