83. Petition of Robert Rogers & als to be incorporated as the Mutual fire insurance Company, came from the Senate referred to the committee on Banks & Banking for concurrence - and the House concurred.

Petition of Ambrose Howard & als respecting the fisheries in the seven mile - brook in Vassalboro - of William Lovejoy & als on the same subject - were severally read & referred to the committee on the interior fisheries - Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Shubael Marston praying for compensation for building a Gun House in Waterville, was read & referred to the committee on Accounts. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of the Proprietors of the South West Bend Bridge for a Lottery to aid in erecting a Stone Bridge, was read & referred to the committee on Lotteries. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of John Dole & als to be incorporated for the purpose of building a Bridge across the Penobscot to connect Bangor and Brewer, was read & referred to the committee on Turnpikes, Bridges & Canals. Sent up for concurrence.

The Committee to whom was referred the Bill additional to the act to regulate the jurisdiction & proceedings of Courts of Probate reported that the same ought not to pass - and the report was accepted and the Bill rejected accordingly.

Ordered that the order directing two sessions each day after this day, be reconsidered.
