Report of the committee on petition of Paul Woodman and als. came up, and the House recommit the subject and the Senate concurred in the same.-

[Reports on Petition] Report of the committee on petition of Hosea Rich and als. came up, and the House nonconcur the Senate in the acceptance thereof: and give the petitioners leave to withdraw their petition : and the Senate reconsider their former vote and concur with the House.-

[Bills enacted] Mr. Witham from the committee on engrossed Bills reported the following to be truly copied viz.- Bill fixing the time of holding the Courts of Common Pleas in the County of Cumberland, Bill to incorporate the Winthrop Bank, Bill to incorporate the proprietors of Calais Bridge, and Bill altering the time of holding the Court of Sessions in Washington County : and they were severally passed to be enacted.- also

[Resolves passed] Resolve in favor of James J. Boyd, Resolve disapproving the amendment of the Constitution proposed by the State of Georgia, Resolve authorizing the Governor to open a road through the States land in the County of Washington, Resolve granting the right of appeal in a certain case to Archilaus Lewis and John Gordon, Resolve authorizing the Governor to negotiate with the Penobscot Indians for the transfer of their Islands in the the state: and they were severally passed.-

[Bill] Mr. Wheeler from the committee on an order upon that subject reported a Bill additional to the act regulating damages in inland Bills of Exchange, which was read once & committed to Messrs McCobb Dennett & Read.- Adjourned.
