Remonstrance of Eliot Staples & als against the petition of Fisk & Bridge, was read & referred in concurrence with the Senate to the committee on Canals, Turnpikes & Bridges.

On motion of Mr Mitchell of Freeport, Ordered that Messrs Mitchell of Freeport, White of Monmouth & Hodgman of Warren be a committee with such as the Senate may join to inquire as far as practicable what further business will come before this Legislature, and when the same may have a recess - read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

On motion of Mr Vance of Baring, Ordered that Messrs Vance of Baring, Moore of Steuben & Labaree of Whitfield be a committee with such as the Senate may join, to inquire into the expediency of altering or amending An act to incorporate the Schoodic River Log Company with leave to report & - read + passed.
