[Pet. for Academy &c Wiscasset referred] Petition of Bradford Young and others Inhabitants of Wiscasset for the establishment and endowment of an Academy in that town was referred in concurrence to the Committee on Literature &c.

[Pet. D. Nutting & als referred] Petition of Daniel Nutting & others for incorporation of a Manufacturing Company was referred in concurrence to the Committee on Manufactures.

[Resolves passed to be engrossed] Resolve in favor of Zadoc Bishop & Eighteen others & " for the benefit of Waterville College were severally passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the House.

[Order respecting Military Fines] Order of the House of Representatives that the Committee on the Judiciary be directed to inquire into the expediency of amending the Law in relation to the collection of military fines, with leave to report by Bill or otherwise, was read and passed in concurrence.

[Resolve postponed] Resolve in favor of Jacob Prince was indefinitely postponed in concurrence.

[Bill to incorporate Schoodic Log Company] Bill to incorporate the Schoodic Log Company was read once and tomorrow 10 o'clock assigned for a 2nd reading.

[Order notice on pet. Geo Reid & als] Mr. Gardner from the Com on Incorporation of towns reported an order of notice on the petition of George Reid and others. R & accepted. s.d.f.c. concurred.

[Resolve in favor of Joel Wellington] Mr. Parsons from the Committee on State Lands on the petition of Joel Wellington reported "An additional Resolve in favor of Joel Wellington and Samuel Whitney. Read once and today at 12 o'clock assigned for a 2nd Reading.
