[Bill to prevent the destruction of Pickerel &c] Bill to prevent the destruction of pickerel in Modomoc Long Pond was read once, ordered to a second reading, again read and passed to be engrossed in concurrence.

[Bill respecting Clerks of Courts] Bill additional respecting Clerks of Courts was read once and referred to the next Legislature in concurrence.

[Bills & Resolves enacted] Mr. Page from the Committee on Engrossed Bills reported the following to be truly copied viz, Bill defining the powers and duties of Justices of the Peace respecting actions of Replevin, " additional to an Act to establish a Court of Common Pleas " to cede to the United State the jurisdiction Mt. Desert Rock " to prevent foreigners from exercising acts of jurisdiction within this State by serving a civil or criminal process and Bill additional respecting Sheriffs and the same were severally passed to be enacted and also Resolve in addition to the Resolve for the assistance of the Deaf and Dumb passed February 5th, " providing for the printing and distribution of blank returns of votes, " for the purchase of stationary and other articles, " directing an action against the Trustees of the Mariner's Church, " in favor of Day and Frazer and Resolve respecting the Tariff, and the same were severally finally passed
