Friday January 14th 1831

Met according to adjournment On motion of Mr. Barnard of Alna Ordered that the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire whether any further provision is necessary to be made by law relative to the records of Justices of the Peace

Ordered that the Senate be requested to take from their files the Petition of Henry Milliken & send the same to this House.

On motion of Mr. Park of Bangor Ordered that the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of amending so much of the fee bill as relates to fees paid for entry of actions in the Supreme Judicial Court & Court of Common Pleas - sent up for concurrence

On motion of Mr. Deane of Ellsworth Ordered that the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire whether the 2d. Section of an act passed March 8th 1826 entitled "An Act additional to an act for the settlement of certain equitable claims arising in real actions" ought not to be repealed - with leave to report by Bill or otherwise - sent up for concurrence

On motion of Mr. Barnard of Alna Ordered that the Secretary of the Senate & Clerk of the House respectively be directed to furnish each member of the Senate House & Council with one copy of the 18th report of the Directors of the American Asylum at Hartford for the education & instruction of the Deaf & Dumb - sent up for concurrence
