Petition of Joseph Whitney that the grant of land to Hopkins Academy may be located,” committed in the House to the committee on State Lands, came up for concurrence, and was read and concurred. -

A message was received from the House informing that they had elected Gen. Stephen Berry Major General of the sixth Division of Militia of this State, thus nonconcurring the Senate; and that they had elected, on their part, Gen. Joseph Locke, Major General of the eighth Division in concurrence with the Senate. -
