Report of Committee on Elections to whom was referred the remonstrance of Ephraim Sturtivant, submitting a Resolve "That Joseph Smith having been duly elected Representative from the town of Cumberland is entitled to a seat in this House" - was read and accepted and the Resolve read and passed.

Ordered of the 20th instant, instructing the Valuation Committee to report to this House as soon as may be, in regard to Clerks act came from the Senate amended by striking out at "A". the words "this House" and inserting in place thereof the words "Legislature" and the House recede from their former votes so far as to concur with the Senate in this amendment.

Petition of George F Richardson and others and papers relative thereto, came from the Senate for concurrence referred to the Committee on the Judiciary - and the House concurred

Bill authorizing Bannabas Brackett to maintain a Dam and Slip in Moose Brook - was read a first and second time and Wednesday next at eleven oclock assigned for a third reading.
